The relationship between Russia and the West has always been particularly thorny. From the Cold War to Russia’s possible meddling in the 2016 American elections, whenever Russia and the West are discussed in the same sentence, it is rarely ever one that carries with it an optimistic or positive message. However, the only way to truly understand any place, is to go there and experience it for yourself, and the ‘Meeting Russia’ program offers young leaders from the media, government institution, academia and private sectors the opportunity to do just that.

Who is holding the program?

Creative Diplomacy is a Moscow-based NGO founded in 2010 by a group of new generation experts committed to developing and supporting civil initiatives in public diplomacy and foreign affairs. The group raises awareness about challenges and opportunities for Russia’s public diplomacy and strive to improve it as much as possible, serving as a crucial link between Russian people, society and state.

What is it?

The program runs annually, focusing on Russia’s foreign policy and its relation with the West with the aim of facilitating dialogue between rising leaders interested in Russia and its role on the international stage. The organising body will cover accommodation, meals and transportation within Moscow as well as a partial travel reimbursement.
