Vesselin Popov is the Development Strategist for the University of Cambridge Psychometrics Centre. In his role as a liaison between academia and industry, Vesselin combines entrepreneurship with an enthusiasm for privacy and data protection law to build ethical data collection and analysis tools fit for the digital age. For example, he coordinates the Apply Magic Sauce project, which harnesses over 6 million individual profiles to enable researchers and businesses to accurately and responsibly translate digital footprints into psychological insights. Prior to joining the Centre, Vesselin applied his skills in a diverse array of fields, ranging from the music and sports industries in the UK to the Bulgarian Ministry of Finance. He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge in 2012, where he read law.
