MADRID, SPAIN. These inventive, tasty cookies top my list of best cookies in Madrid. The small store specializes only in cookies (and the occasional brownie).

The place was started by two French girls who felt that Madrid did not have any cookie shops. The cookies are American style, and soft. The staff is really friendly, and the place makes you feel like the cookies are homemade with care.

A regular size cookie costs 1.60 euros. You can, however, order 10 tiny cookies for 3.80 euros. They also make a larger cookie for 3.50 euros (and they have even bigger, party cookies available upon request, and specialized holiday cookies, like one in the shape of a heart for Valentine’s Day).

I recommend La Parisina, a cookie that has raspberries and dark chocolate. The New Yorker is an oatmeal raisin cookie with cinnamon. The Maja is a banana and nutella cookie. La Milonga is a cookie with dulce de leche spread in its center. They also make special cookie varieties every month.

It is located smack in the middle of Madrid, very close to Sol. The only issue I have with this place is that it closes at 9:00 pm, so no late night cookies. The space is small, so you might want to eat your cookie outside if it is especially crowded. You can order online.
