The early 2000s was a crazy time. Frosted tips were all the rage. We hoped that Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears would last forever. But the days kept spinning by and times had to change. We couldn’t watch The Simple Life with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie forever. So, we grew out our frosted tips, and said goodbye to an era. However saying goodbye doesn’t mean that we have to completely forget a few of the hidden gems of the early 2000s.
1. Static Shock
Cartoons aren’t just for kids. Static Shock tackled issues about race, gun control, and love, which other cartoons shied away from. Plus the show had the best theme songs and the perfect bromance between superhero and sidekick.
2. Charmed
The power of three will set you free—from boredom. Prue, Piper, Phoebe, and Paige were a set of witches who charmed you once a week for almost a decade. Funny, daring, and exciting, Charmed remains one of the best shows from the early ‘00s. If you’re feeling nostalgic, all eight seasons are available on Netflix.
3. Just Shoot Me
Sure, there was Seinfeld and Friends, but between these two hit TV shows was Just Shoot Me. Just Shoot Me chronicled the chaotic and hilarious lives of individuals working at the fictitious Blush magazine.
4. Will & Grace
Everyone still wants Karen Walker as a best friend. Since we can’t make television shows into real life, we will have to embrace all eight seasons of Will & Grace. This iconic TV show raised awareness of LGBT issues, and won 16 Emmys.
5. The Parkers
Originally starting as a spin-off to Moesha, The Parkers quickly gained its own place as a classic comedy. While following the lives of a mother and daughter in college, The Parkers left you cackling in your seat.
