ROOSTERGNN Global News Network, the first global, bilingual and independent news agency celebrates its first anniversary today. Since the launch of its beta version last year, ROOSTERGNN has published more than 400 stories created by more than 150 different contributors worldwide, and has to date over thirty partners, including graduates from Harvard University who have come on board as editors for specific sections.
The agency’s live coverage of the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates in Warsaw was extremely popular among readers. From Poland, ROOSTERGNN provided transcriptions of speeches Holiness the XIV Dalai Lamaa, Mairead Corrigan-Maguire, Frederik Willem de Klerk, and others. ROOSTERGNN also established a partnership with the Feed the Hungry Foundation. In collaboration with the NGO, ROOSTERGNN has been reporting on critical hunger and poverty issues, such as food distribution and reconstruction in the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan.
The year came to a close with the integration of two further sections, GAPBRAVE, a student travel guide, and MADbudget, a local’s guide to Madrid, where ROOSTERGNN currently has its main offices.
In addition, ROOSTERGNN is launching Journalism Internship Cycles in Madrid. Would you like to apply?
