MADRID, SPAIN. This coffee shop is a must go, for food and environment. The space is small and extremely welcoming. The cakes are amazing– on the day we went, there was chocolate, carrot, dulce de leche, cheesecake, and honeynut. I have also heard that the burgers and quiches are delicious. The food is reasonably priced as well (burgers are 7,00 euros). They also serve artisanal beers.

We ordered a coffee and cake deal for 4,20 euros. The coffee was really good with a lot of foam. I got a carrot cake, which was one of the best carrot cakes I’ve ever tasted. It had a hint of citrus that made it thoroughly unique and exciting. The staff was really nice, readily available when we needed help and willing to talk to us. The place was busy, since there aren’t too many tables and people seem to enjoy sitting and talking for a while.

I have heard that a duo of the chef and the waiter run the place. This team seems to be very interested in the taste and detail of the café. I plan on returning many times, to enjoy a cozy conversation and enjoy tasty foods.

Wi-fi is free. It is in the Letras de Madrid neighborhood, a great place to walk around with its narrow streets and dispersed cafés. This neighborhood is also very close to Atocha.
