The 10 most important paintings of Picasso have arrived at the most famous museum in Madrid. They were painted between 1906 and 1967 and belong to the collection in Kunstmuseum of Basel from the moment that it develops the reform of their headquarters.

These works can be seen in the Central Gallery in the Villanueva building at the Prado Museum (Calle Ruiz de Alarcón, 23), accompanied by other prominent paintings of the museum.

 It will be there from March 16th to September 13th.

 NINETEENTH FOTOPRES “LA CAIXA.” DOCUMENTARY IMAGE CONTEST

In this exposition, you can see the documentary work of the 10 winners in the FotoPres competition’s 19th edition on contemporary conflicts from a critical perspective. To convey this message, they used maps, videos, web pages, and diagrams. This initiative belongs to the Social Work “la Caixa” activity. Some of the works are: This is Spain, by NOPHOTO, The Mountain, by Jon Cazenave, and Everybody Needs Good Neighbors, by Arnau Blanch.

The images are showcased until the 7th of June in CaixaForum (Paseo del Prado, 36), during the hours of 10 to 20 h. from Mondays to Sundays.

The price is 4€ (free for “la Caixa” customers).

In addition, there are guided tours for 3€ (50% discount for “la Caixa” customers) in the following hours:

-Fridays: 17 h.

-Saturdays: 19 h.

-Sundays and holidays: 13 h.

GUERRILLA GIRLS

Guerrilla Girls is an exhibition that showcases the work of the feminist artistic group and American of the same name. There will be posters, t-shirts, publications and correspondence, and the documentary Guerrillas in Our Midst (1992).

It will be showcased until the 26th of April, in the Nave 16 at Matadero Madrid.

The hours of the centro is from Tuesdays to Fridays from 16 to 21 h; Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11 to 21 h.

Entrance is free. There are free guided tours, Saturdays at 12 h. (registration phone number: 91 517 73 09).
