Father’s Day is not usually celebrated as much as Mother’s Day. We seem to forget that fathers hold a special place in our hearts and are also very hard working. Not necessarily the same way as mothers but they do try their best in whatever it is they do.
Finding the perfect gift for a father can be difficult. I know it is for me. Buying Mom a gift is easier because there are so many things to choose from: wallets, purses, jewelry, shoes, perfume, and the list goes on. Plus, it’s also fun. It’s like shopping for yourself.
On the other hand, buying Dad a gift can be tricky, especially if you are not too sure of his style. Maybe they are into cars and sporty stuff. Or maybe materialistic things just don’t impress them. Here is where the unexpected/DIY gifts come in handy. They are after all the most meaningful.
To take time out of your busy schedules, sit down, and create something yourself shows dedication and love. It’s also a money saver, so what better than that? It can be something as simple as a hand-written letter/note/birthday card, making them breakfast, putting together a photo album of all your photos with him, or spending quality time with them. You can never go wrong with that.
