MADRID, SPAIN. I love the food and environment of this place. The food is authentically Greek, the vibe is hipster, and it is cheap. There is a lot of graphic art and lettering spread around, contributing to its great vibe.

Chicken, Feta, and Arugula Sandwich

Chicken, Feta, and Arugula Sandwich | Robert Persky

Last time I went I got an amazing sandwich of chicken in curry sauce with dried tomato, arugula, and feta. It only cost four euros, and came on warm multi-grain bread. Pita sandwiches are prepared in front of you and only cost 3.50 euros. Greek empanadas range from 2.00 to 3.00 euros, and Greek yogurt is also offered. Greek salads are around 4.00 euros.

Tables are set up inside, in the middle of their little grocery store where they sell fruits, vegetables, and prepared meals. There is also a take out window, so you can order on the go.

The vibe is very local, with the stores small size and fresh ingredients. It is also very casual, since you order your food at the bar and then go and sit down. The staff was really kind last time I was there, and the place was full of young people.

Wi-Fi is free. It is smack in the middle of Malasaña, my favorite neighborhood full of young people and street art. I definitely recommend this place, for its food and atmosphere.
