GLOBAL. On June 21st, 2004, the International Association of Skateboard Companies held the first official “Go Skateboarding Day” or “GSD.” Since then, the holiday has helped to make skateboarding more accessible to skaters all over the world, but not without problems. In 2007, a group of friends in Arkansas came into a conflict with the police, and the resulting YouTube video has drawn more than three million views.
