The Madrid Lance Booksellers Association brings you thirty-nine specialized libraries’ booths from all over Spain (Barcelona, Seville, Pamplona, Granada, and Madrid). As in previous fairs, a book about Madrid will be published, specifically called “The Green Wave” (Carlos Fortuny).

The fair will take place until May 17th, at Paseo Recoletos, with uninterrupted hours from 11:00 to 21:00 h.

Following the stanzas of the famous song, this play showcases a mystery. Different characters are lured to in island, where people are starting to be charged with murder, one character disappearing after another.

The work is showcased until the 28th of June at the Muñoz Seca Theater. From Tuesdays to Fridays, at 20 h; Saturdays, at 19 h and 22 h; and Sundays, at 18 h.

The price costs 22€ (except on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, it costs 25€).

“OPERATING SYSTEM” EXHIBITION

Daniel Garcia Andújar is the author of this exhibition that reflects on the utilization of digital media and communication strategies of corporations in public space, as well as the danger posed by these issues. Reality mixes with the virtual, showing the inequality that is created in power and social relations. Several projects can be observed, such as the installation “Individual Citizen Republic Project: The System (x-devian).”

You can go see the exhibition until May 4th on the third floor of the Sabatini Building (Reina Sofia Museum, the roundabout at Atocha).

The hours are from Mondays to Saturdays, 10 to 21 h., and Sundays, 10 to 14:15 h.

DOCUMENTAMADRID (12th International Documentary Festival of Madrid)

This festival presents the season’s major examples of international documentaries, in exclusive premieres. In addition, the “Spanish Documentary Panorama” section is dedicated to the formal and thematic variety that can be found at the national level. Complementary activities will also be included, such as workshops and tables.

The festival is celebrated until the 10th of May. The complete program will be posted on the Matadero Madrid web page.
