50 SHADES! THE MUSICAL
The famous “50 shades of Grey” comes to theater. In this musical adaptation, the characters Pam, Bea, and Carol create a book club, the first two more open and enthusiastic and the latter, Carol, the most reluctant to work. In this way, each imagines the scenes from the book with their own characteristics.
The work will be showcased on April 4th, at 22:30 h, in the New Apolo Theater (Plaza de Tirso de Molina, 1)

ANIMALS AND PHARAOHS: THE ANIMAL KINGDOM IN ANCIENT EGYPT
The exposition “Animals and Pharaohs” looks to reflect the importance of animals in Ancient Egypt. Their figures were used as coded language and became part of the thinking of an entire civilization, in the same way that constituted a motive very recurrent in art. There are over 400 parts exhibited: sculptures, vases, watercolors, and wall paintings, amulets, sarcophagi, and mummies.
This exhibition will be open from April 1st to August 23, at CaixaForum Madrid (Paseo del Prado, 35). You can visit everyday from 10 to 20 h.
The entrance fee is 4€ (free for La Caixa clients).
On April 7th at 19:30, there will be a conference led by Hélène Guichard, conservative chief of Egyptian Antiquities in the Louvre Museum. The price is 4€.

5TH INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF MAGIA IN MADRID
This year, the gala “Magica time” brings together prominent magicians and illusionists from different fields and backgrounds in addition to the Spaniards Jorge Blass, Diego, and Elena: Topas (Germany), Doble Mandoble (Belgium), Magus Utopia (Holland), and Hun Lee (Korea).
It is showcased until the 5th of April, Wednesday and Friday at 20:30 h, Saturday at 18 and 20:30, and Sunday at 12 and at 19 h.
It will take place in Circo Price Theater (Ronda de Atocha, 35).
The price will range from 20 to 28€, with discounts for advance purchases, students, etc. (Buy online).

IN HIS IMAGE. ART, CULTURE, AND RELIGION
This exhibition reflects a selection of the best Spanish paintings and sculptures. One hundred works of artists such as Murillo, Velázquez, Goya, and Rubens and others between X and XX centuries are showcased. They come from different collections, both public and private (Prado Museum, BBVA Collection, etc.) and from twenty-two dioceses.
The exhibition can be visited until the 12th of April in Fernán Gómez Cultural Center of the Villa (Plaza Colón, 4).
The hours are from 10 to 20 h on Monday to Thursday, and on Friday to Sunday (and holidays) from 10 to 21 h.
The entrance fee costs 7€ (5€ reduced price). You can purchase online.

THE SECOND ALCALÁ GASTRONOMIC COMPETITION
Thirty-six restaurants in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid) participate in this competition, each one with their own special dish. Some of the establishments participating are El Patio de Mi Casa, Al-Ándalus Restaurant, and La Eskina de Muzarake.
The promotion period of these dishes will be until April 19th, and on the 28th, the winner will be announced.
