SARDINIA, ITALY. AGRICULTURE + TOURISM = AGRITOURISM. Agritourism, or “the practice of touring agricultural areas to see farms and participate in farm activities,” has become increasingly popular worldwide. Italy, in particular, offer numerous opportunities for such farm stays.
This week, GAPBRAVE presents a photo story on Agritourism in Sardinia, and specifically, the Sa Mandra Azienda Turistica. A family-run establishment, Sa Mandra offers accommodation, a restaurant, as well as numerous other activities to immerse yourself in Sardinian farm-lifestyle. In season, the farm employs between 10 and 20 people, who help the family cook the traditional recipes from the Barbagia region, as well as offer educational farm activities that allow visitors to learn about the natural environment, the value of organic food and rural traditions.
Experience the sights vicariously on this photo tour. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed when we visited…
