EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND. Every year, the Christmas Market in Edinburgh is opened with the Light Night on Sunday, November 24th. The theme this year will be the Twelve Days of Christmas where 60 local schools along George Street will perform with other community groups singing, dancing and performing recitals. On the same night, the lights of the city’s Christmas tree will be switched on to give start to the festive season.
A great number of tourists come to Edinburgh every year to visit the Christmas Market. Its attractions include the ice rink (an old tradition for Edinburgh), the Edinburgh wheel and a Christmas tree maze.
