TRUJILLO, CACERES, SPAIN. In the marketplace of the Plaza Mayor in Trujillo, Cáceres, you can find an equestrian statue of Francisco Pizarro, Spanish explorer and conquerer of Peru, who was born in the village between 1476 and 1478. The San Martin Church, which also stands in the plaza, features both Gothic and Renaissance architectural elements.
