MADRID, SPAIN. The inside is a mix of hipster and traditional, with eclectic, vintage looking furniture, and a classic Madrid bar. The restaurant has a cat theme, referencing the connection of Madrid’s citizens to cats, since they are active at night and enjoy life.

Last time I visited, I got a blueberry muffin with coffee for 2,50 euros. A tortilla de patatas with coffee would have been 3,00 euros. Try their patatas bravas and their ensalada rusa. I hear brunch is good, and costs 14,50 euros. The menu of the day is 10,20 euros.

They have a good selection of artisanal beers (including the very tasty and famous La Virgen). They also have vermouth on tap. This is a great place to go for a drink because of their great alcohol selection and because they give you free tapas with drinks.

The staff is very attentive. On a nice day, sit outside and enjoy people watching. Otherwise, sit at their bar and read one of the newspapers they have laying around. There are tables on the other side of the room if you wish to have a more intimate meal.

It is located in la Plaza del Rey. This plaza is located in Chueca, an ideal place to walk around and hit boutique stores. It is also very close to Gran Vía, making it extremely accessible.
