PORTUGAL. One of the most fun festivals in the world returns to Portugal after its debut last year. Five different cities in Portugal will receive the Happy Holi festival from June to September, offering a lot of good moments of music, color, and dance.
If you’re going to be in Portugal, don’t miss this amazing opportunity. 12,000 people participated in last year’s festivals in Porto and Lisbon, and this year’s edition promises to be even bigger and more fun. From June to September, you can choose in which city you want to experience Holi: 22 June in Porto, 20 July in Braga, 10 August in Algarve, 14 September in Lisbon, and 28 September in Coimbra.
Celebrated in many cities around the world, Happy Holi is a unique experience that mixes dance, music, color and happiness for all ages. Every 45 minutes an incredible explosion of colors occurs, using colorful powders that each person receives at the entrance of the festival. The rules? You just have to wear white clothes, to dance, and bring a happy, loving attitude.
After the enourmous success of last year, Happy Holi is also going to Brazil for the first time. Holi will take place in 18 different cities: Rio de Janeiro, Brasília, Porto Alegre, Recife, Manaus, Natal, Maceió, Florianópolis, Belém, Belo Horizonte, Boa Vista, Cuiabá, Curitiba, Goiânia, João Pessoa, Ribeirão Preto, Salvador, São Luíz, and Teresina. The festival is growing every year, so keep an eye on the official website, and don’t miss a thing about the happiest festival in the world!
