1. Centro Deportivo Municipal Concepción
This pool, situated in a neighbourhood called La Concepción has been recently remodeled. It was re-opened to the public two years ago after many years of refurbishment. We are talking of a sports centre where you can also find a football field and have yoga or pilates lessons.
How to get there: Concepción (Line 7), Pueblo Nuevo (Line 7 and 5), Quintana (Line 5)

2. Centro Deportivo Municipal José María Cagigal
Next to the Manzanares, in the district of Casa de Campo, you can find the swimming pool José María Cagigal.
With two pools, this sports center is the perfect place to spend a boiling day of summer.
How to get there: The closest metro stations are Moncloa (line 3 and 6) and Principe Pío (Cercanías and Metro 10 and 6). Yet, the easiest way to go there is the bus (41, 46, 75).

3. Parque Deportivo Puerta del Hierro
In the district of Moncloa, there is the sport park of Puerta del Hierro, one of the largest of the capital. It is surrounded by an ample green area. Its swimming pool stands out between all the pools of Madrid: it’s one of the largest in Europe.

4. Centro Deportivo Municipal Vicente Del Bosque
This sports centre, named after the winning coach of the Spanish national team, Vicente Del Bosque, is located in the north of Madrid. There, you can practice every kind of sport: from football to water polo. Swim while enjoying the view of the Four Towers, the tallest skyscrapers in Spain. Moreover, there is a private zone for the nature lover.

You can find the San Vicente de Paul sport centre in the southern area of the capital. It consists of two outdoor pools and other sports facilities.

7. Centro Deportivo Municipal Vicálvaro
The Vicálvaro sport centre stands not far from the city centre. This 50-metre open-air pool, with an area for sunbathing, is open from May to September.

8. Centro Deportivo Municipal Aluche

9. Centro Deportivo Municipal Hortaleza
If the temperature increases, I suggest you to go to Hortaleza‘s pool. Here you will have a great time and swim with your friends.

10. Aquopolis
In closing, something different, more than a swimming pool: a water theme park! Aquopolis is situated in the suburbs, about 40 minutes far from Madrid. The bravest ones can try attractions such as the Kamikaze or the Turbolance. Yet, if you prefer something more relaxing you can simply spend your day at the new Malibu Beach. This park is so amusing that you will surely come back.
How to get there: Bus 627 from Moncloa and Bus 581 from Principe Pío.
