Chef Jean Georges Vongerichten is one of the most respected chefs in the U.S., and without a surprise this restaurant is one of NYC’s most celebrated sustainable institutions.
The restaurant appearance and atmosphere has an international and creative flair. Their production is locally approved from regional farmers and fair trade cooperatives and reflects onto a seasonal menu that constantly rotates with different natural flavors and dishes which are free of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, insecticides, antibiotics, hormones and is GMO-free.
Flavors range from vegetarian dishes to tacos that are served in its sister restaurant ABC Cocina, located next door. As part of the mood of the place, everything is green, and even the waiters wear biodegradable trainers.
Everything here has a story to tell; it’s bar was previously an altar from a Mexican Church.
