When in doubt, go with black

The most iconic off-duty model outfit is head to toe black. Its a color that looks flattering on everyone and always gives a dose of confident-the most important model accessory. This trick is practiced by even the most famous high-fashion models like catwalk veteran Joan smalls who regularly dons the dark look. Black never goes out of style and immediately boosts the sophistication of an outfit, designer label optional.

Overall, simplicity is key

Models are bombarded with hot tools, heavy products, and constant makeup throughout the workday. Therefore, its no wonder that off-duty looks tend to have simple makeup and hairstyles. In an interview with Vogue magazine, Victorias Secret Angel, Candice Swanepoel said “Because I wear a lot of make-up for work it’s really important to keep my skin clean after.” She relies on natural oils and a simple beauty regime for her daily look. Replicate the basic model makeup with  a light SPF moisturizer, a slick of mascara on the lashes, and concealer under the eyes to brighten and even the skin.

Whether they’re heeled or flat styles, leather or velvet, you can find them in a wide range of prices and colors. Don boots with a short skirt à la the high fashion darlings to add length to your stems and complete your off-duty look.
