Mixing prints – we either love doing it, or are too scared to even try it.
When it comes to mixing prints within your wardrobe, it can definitely seem like a challenge. You don’t want to look “tacky” or look like you are trying too hard. You are not sure which prints compliment each other. Will people judge you? Is this even a cool trend?
Whenever I feel like this, I like to think about what Anna Wintour, Editor-in-chief of Vogue Magazine, once said:
With that said, who cares what people might think. Your style is YOURS and only YOU can judge what you like on yourself or not. So go ahead and try a new trend you have been thinking about. Mixing prints, for one, is a trend that often scares people away. Go ahead and try it and see what you can put together.
Below are a few prints that compliment each other that you might want to try out.
- Green plaid / checkered skirt (as seen on picture above)
- Tie dye / black and white stripes
- Black and white stripes / Floral
- Polka dots / stripes
- Stripes / leopard
