ASSISI, ITALY. This is a picture from the outside looking straight onto the top floor of St. Francis Basilica with the bell tower to the left. The statue captured from behind, who seems to be looking down, is St. Francis himself. The Catholic friar is one of two patron saints of Italy, and is also recognized as the patron saint of animals and the environment.
