Not your typical spot to catch the game and drink some brews. This bar and nightclub will be open 30 minutes before every match. $4 beers and $5 well drinks along with snacks. Come to this spot with your investment banker friends and bet on your team versus theirs.

2. Mad Dog in the Fog, Lower Haight
A sports bar for sports fans. This place is bound to be packed from opening to last call during the tournament. Definitely reserve a booth a couple hours before game time if you have a group of four or five (or however many you can squeeze into a booth).

This local sports bar is for Liverpool fans, so beware sporting your stripes that aren’t LFC Red — you might start a fight. Regardless, a great place for beers and wings, and the World Cup, of course!

4. Hi Tops, Castro
This sports bar is in the center of the Castro district and self-proclaimed as San Francisco’s gay sports bar. With tasty wings and the kitchen open until 10 p.m., this is a place for all your friends who aren’t really into the World Cup.

5. The Taco Shop at Underdog’s, Sunset
Taco shop, you say? Si, señor. This place has 10 TVs to catch every move of your favorite players. Fish tacos and Margaritas are the specialty here. Open early and serving breakfast as you cheer on your team before your usual morning coffee.
