GLOBAL. Each to their own when it comes to our top 10 films that we should not forget about, but here are mine:

1. The Silence of the Lambs, along with Hannibal Lector.

Old is certainly gold! Released in 1991 when Jodie Foster was a growing actress, Anthony Hopkins starred as a chilling psychopath (Hannibal Lecter) who had carried out a number of murders and cannibalism. This is my all time favourite physiological thriller as it opened up a new theme of extreme psychological horror movies that allowed us to explore the mind of a criminal.

2. Taken – the first one!

This film still makes me shiver everytime I watch it. Why I love it? It showed many of us what actually happens in countries we seem to feel safe in. For me, as an independent female, my dream is to travel the world, like many others. It gave me an insight into something that many young girls don’t know about and one of the main thing I got out of watching a film like this was self defense – sticking to my gut instinct when I feel that I may be in danger.

3. Cellular

Released in 2004 it did not get the credit it should have received for how amazing it actually is! I recommend it to friends all the time, as it changed my perception on life – all it takes is one phone call to save another. If you are interested to find out more when reading this, go ahead and watch it. I wont spoil it for you.

4. Fast and Furious

Yes I love my cars and what a journey it has been! the 7th one will be released in the UK on April 3rd, I am already booking my ticket.

5. Fault in Our Stars

Relatively new, this film surprised me with the turn of events that I did not expect, well worth the 2 hour or so length.

6. Harry Potter – all of them!

I grew up just like Harry did, watching all 7 over and over again.

7. The Godfather – wow!

The first one hit the nail on the head right at the time where corruption in the police force was at an all time high and the influence of the mafia was very predominant

8. Ghost

I never get sick of this old time classic. I sit and watch it with my family whenever it comes on TV and yes, I still shed a tear. Legend Patrick Swayze made this film in my opinion.

9. A Bugs Life

It may sound childish but I still watch this today. Personally, One of the best animated Disney movies that will remain as my childhood favorite for the rest of my life.

10. Cinderella

What a way to end it on and I know it must have made one of your lists. This fairy tale is what every little girl wants and we can dream right?

So there we have it…my top 10 all time movies! Now it’s time to explore yours.
