This Week NYC celebrates its 7th annual folk music festival once again! This 3-day festival includes 30 bands, vocal and instrumental workshops, film screenings, the famous Banjo Toss contest and more! The Brooklyn Folk Festival will feature the best in old-time string-band music, folk, blues, songwriters, jug band, bluegrass, traditional Irish and Balkan music, and much more!

This event will take place from April 17th-19th, 2015. This year the festival will be held at the beautiful historic St. Ann’s Church located at 157 Montague St. between Clinton and Henry in Brooklyn Heights. The venue has wheelchair accessible features. Tickets are $20-$25 per guest depending on the time and day that the guest attends.

The Rainbow Book Fair is the largest and longest-running LGBT book fair in the history of America. This queer book community hosts literary events throughout the year but this fair is promised to be the biggest event with the widest selection of literary offerings. Whether curious about this literary community or for those who are looking for new reading materials, this book fair has something for everyone.

The 7th annual NYC Rainbow Book Fair will take place Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 12pm–6pm. It will be held at the Holiday Inn Midtown at 440 West 57th Street NYC 10019. There is no cost of attendance for guests.

This weekend Earth Day New York celebrates its 25th annual anniversary promoting ongoing change and action in the way that society treats and respects the environment surrounding it. The events planned for the day include: representatives from campaigns and nonprofits, local businesses with green initiatives, green travel exhibition, green vehicle exhibition, live music and entertainment and much more!

Earth Day New York will take place Sunday, April 19th, 2015 in Union Square. The event will take place from 12-7p.m. All are welcome to attend and there is no cost of attendance, however donations are always appreciated.

Art Expo is the world’s largest fine art trade show, providing dealers, collectors and buyers with access to thousands of innovative works from artists and publishers in one single venue. For thirty-seven years and counting, Art Expo has been changing the way people buy and sell art. It brings the biggest publishers, galleries and collectors face to face with hundreds of established and emerging artists. This year, we’ll host over 400+ innovative exhibiting artists, galleries and publishers from across the globe, showcasing exciting original artwork, prints, paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and more.

This event will take place from Thursday, April 23rd, 2015-Sunday, April 26th, 2015. The expo hours are 12pm-7pm on Thursday and Friday, 10am-7pm on Saturday and 10am-6pm on Sunday. This year’s Art Expo venue is Pier 94 at 711 12th Ave

New York, NY 10019 General admission is $20 per person.
