It is Christmastime yet again, and there is no better way to get in the Christmas spirit than exploring the many fun things that there are to do in New York City!

 

1. Visit the Rockefeller Tree

New York is known for its famous Rockefeller Christmas tree that is brought to Rockefeller Center every year. The tree is decorated and there are many things to do such as ice skating and shopping. This year, the Christmas tree is 72 feet tall! 

2. See the Christmas Spectacular

The Radio City Rockettes perform their annual Christmas Spectacular Show every day through Christmas and New Years. These talented performers will definitely take your breath away. This is my favorite Christmas tradition in New York City, and the show is a must-see. 

3. Bryant Park Christmas Village

Bryant Park is a must-see during Christmastime! Many local vendors set up around the park and you can purchase everything from amazing chocolate to stunning jewelry. There are also many dining options and food trucks to visit. You can eat anything from chocolate waffles to dumplings. Plus, there is an ice skating rink for all to enjoy! 

4. Eat at Serra by Birreria at Eataly

This pop-up restaurant located in the Eataly location in the Flatiron District is a must this Christmas season. Pretend you are eating in the mountains of Italy and enjoy an amazing Italian meal. The entire restaurant is decorated to make the customer feel as if they are in Italy. The decorations are incredible and the food is off the charts. 

5. Visit the Top of the Rock

Dying to see a view of the entire city? Well, the Top of the Rock is the place to go! You’ll get an amazing view of the city, including a perfect view of the lit up Empire State Building. You can see everything from the Freedom Tower to Central Park. You have to check it out if you’d like to see New York City from a different perspective! 

6. Macy’s Window Displays

Macy’s wins the award for the best-decorated windows during the Christmas season. This takes window shopping to the next level. Walk by Macy’s and be put instantly into a jolly mood by viewing the elaborate Christmas decorations in each window. 

7. Grand Central Holiday Market

Need to catch a train? Looking to kill some extra time while waiting for the train? Well, looks like this is perfect for you! Grand Central Station has many pop-up holiday shops with everything from perfect kitchenware to toys for young children. This is a perfect place to get your holiday shopping done while supporting local vendors.

8. Visit Santa at Macy’s

Trying to entertain a child around Christmastime in New York City? You are in luck! Macy’s has daily visits from Santa Claus, and kids go crazy over the Christmas wonderland that is created inside. There’s no better way to kick off the holiday season than by paying a visit to the man who will be leaving gifts under the tree.

9. Saks 5th Avenue Building Light Show

There is nothing better than seeing the magical light show put on by Saks 5th Avenue during Christmastime. This 4-5 minute show leaves everyone feeling a little bit more magical. Plus, it is free! The lights are breathtaking and it is definitely a must-see during the holiday season. 

10. Take a walk in Central Park

Looking to escape the city sounds to relax and see nature? Central Park is the perfect place to do this. While Central Park is a great place to visit year-round, it is especially beautiful during Christmastime. Grab a hot chocolate and see the beautiful views that New York City has to offer.
