LISBON, PORTUGAL. Go to this restaurant! The ingredients are fresh and organic, and there is nothing like the view from the terrace deck right on the Tagus River between Lisbon and Almada.
Cod Salad
We stumbled on this restaurant after walking along the docks of Almada. We took the ferry across the river and immediately saw the main street of Almada with many restaurants. They all looked a little touristy, so we decided to walk. We walked along the dock for about five minutes and found this place. It certainly looked like the type of place that you need to know about to find.
The restaurant feels very hipster, and I loved this vibe. The waiters are all really cool looking and nice. They made recommendations for us and told us stuff to do in Lisbon. Classic rock played and complemented the setting perfectly. The restaurant is surrounded by street art, and is right on the dock. There is indoor and outdoor seating, although I seriously recommend the outdoor seating. You have beautiful views of the bridge and Lisbon city. For an extra beautiful setting I recommend going at sunset.

The food was amazing. We ordered a cod salad that came with edible flowers. We also ordered the seafood stew for two. The pot came with a variety of seafoods and fish in an amazing tomato based sauce. A bottle of wine was perfect and allowed us to sit and enjoy the view for an even longer time. The food was local, in season, and organic. The prices are also very reasonable.
After lunch or dinner, I recommend walking further and going up the hill or visiting the Naval Museum. You can take an elevator up the mountain for 0.50 euros. If you don’t want to pay, you can walk up a trail right next to the elevator. Regardless, you will have many photo opportunities with the beautiful view.
